The Amvets Post 0001 "LADIES AUXILIARY" is nearly as old as the American Veterans Organization. The Ladies Auxiliary in St Petersburg, was Chartered on March 17, 1944 and is probably the oldest "AmVets Ladies Auxiliary"

Highlights of various accomplishments of the Auxiliary, one fact will include that one of the Ladies, Mrs David Griner, created the first AmVets White Clover that was accepted as the Official Amvets National Flower. Originally called the "think of me" flower and later known as "Remember Me".
The sale of the white clover used to be a big production with many of the Top city officials buying the first lot of flowers.

The sons of AmVets' is outstanding and has lost their charter due to various situations that happened between the COVID and the present, including the death of its president, and the relocation of our post.
We are seeking one of the sons to reactivate this charter.
Please contact the Commander if you were a member or want to become a Son's member, and re-activate this Charter!

Elections are held each May. There are rules and regulations on who can qualify to be nominated.
Of course you must be a member in Good Standing and have attended a certain number of meetings
